Assessment Conducted by Earth Check Pty Ltd
3 Rivers Eco Lodge has successfully
passed the requirements to become recognised as GREEN
GLOBE Benchmarked Accommodation for the next 12
months, and retains the right to display the GREEN GLOBE
21 logo during this period.
All six indicators are above the GREEN GLOBE Baseline level. Indeed
four indicators, Water
Consumption, Solid Waste, Social Commitment and Resource Conservation,
are at, or
above, the Best Practice level, which is a truly outstanding achievement
to be very highly
commended.
Considering the tremendous and positive commitment that the 3 Rivers
Eco Lodge has
demonstrated to the environment, GREEN GLOBE is confident that they
can maintain their
very high standards and continue to be a leader in environmental performance.

This annual assessment of the 3 Rivers Eco Lodge was undertaken against
earthcheck
benchmarking indicators developed for GREEN GLOBE. These indicators,
listed below,
have been carefully selected to track performance in key areas of
environmental and social
performance impact.

In addition to the list above, a range of optional benchmarks are
also provided. These
present the opportunity to select extra benchmarks that reflect specific
commitment to the
local environment by the operation. Optional benchmarks are encouraged
and recognised by
GREEN GLOBE, but are not used in the Benchmarking evaluation that
assesses whether
the operation has reached the standards necessary to use the GREEN
GLOBE 21 logo.

The data for the listed earthcheck indicators and their benchmarks
have been compiled by
the 3 Rivers Eco Lodge in the prescribed manner, authorised by a senior
executive of the
company and submitted to GREEN GLOBE for an annual independent assessment
conducted by Earth Check Pty Ltd.

To meet the annual benchmarking requirements of GREEN GLOBE and have
the right to use the GREEN
GLOBE 21 logo, the benchmarks for all the earthcheck indicators
should be at or above the Baseline level.
Baseline performance and Best Practice are set by GREEN GLOBE and
Earth Check Pty Ltd with reference to
the type of activity and appropriate national and international conditions
operational data which take into account
social, geographical and climatic impacts.
