Getting around Dominica couldn't be easier.

BUSES

There are regular minibuses serving every village, which are cheap and a good way to meet the local people.

HITCH-HIKING

Alternatively, many locals walk and hitch-hike their way around the island, a safe and easy way to travel in Dominica.

CAR HIRE

It is normally cheaper to hire a car for the day than to hire a taxi. Here at 3 Rivers we have a couple of jeeps for rent: A 3 door Mitsubishi Pajero 4 wheel drive, and a 4x4 Suzuki Samuri. We rent these out for EC$100 ( US$40 ) per day. Otherwise, from the car hire companies, a basic car costs US$45 per day, or US$39 per day if you are hiring it for more than a week. If you would like to hire a car, again, we would be happy to organise it for you, and if you wish to have one waiting for you at the airport or ferry terminal, we can make all the necessary arrangements on your behalf. The car hire company does make a small additional charge for this service. If you are hiring one of our own vehicles there is no additional charge.

TAXIS

There are plenty of taxis working on the island, and if you wish to use their services we can book for you. A taxi to 3 Rivers from the airport should cost about EC$130 / US$50 per person. If you would like us to arrange for a local driver to cellect you just let us know and we will be happy to organise it for you
